How to Use Your Menstrual Cup

1. Sterilize Before First Use: Before each menstrual cycle, boil your Menstrual Cup for 3 minutes in water using the microwave (with the Violeta Cup Mug) or on the stovetop (with the Violeta Cup Pot). After boiling, wash it with mild soap.
2. Find a Comfortable Position: Choose a comfortable position and experiment with different folding techniques to make insertion easier.
3. Insert the Cup: Gently insert the menstrual cup into the vaginal canal. If needed, use a water-based lubricant to aid insertion.
4. Wear Up to 12 Hours: The cup can be used for up to 12 hours, depending on your menstrual flow. When full, carefully remove it and empty its contents.
5. Clean & Store Properly: Wash the cup with running water and reinsert it. At the end of your cycle, boil the cup again and store it for the next use. We recommend storing it in the included breathable pouch, made of synthetic material that prevents bacterial and fungal growth. Avoid storing it in plastic bags, as they can promote bacteria buildup.

Violeta Cup Mug – The Easiest Way to Sterilize Your Menstrual Cup

The Violeta Cup Mug is the most practical and efficient way to sanitize your Violeta Cup menstrual cup—simply place it in the microwave. Not only is it stylish, but it also does not overheat or release harmful residues.

How to Use the Violeta Cup Mug:

1. Wash the mug and menstrual cup with water and mild soap.
2. Place the menstrual cup inside the Violeta Cup Mug, add water until fully submerged, and place it in the microwave.
3. Heat in the microwave for approximately 3 minutes until the water boils.
4. Once finished, wash your hands, remove the cup from the mug, and clean it again with water and mild soap.

We recommend performing this sterilization process at the start and end of each menstrual cycle. During your period, clean the cup with water and mild soap (as per the Violeta Cup Menstrual Cup user manual).
